Farewell TCM

6 months in hiatus and I'm back today for a special reason. I was hoping it would be on a happier note. Even if it's sad news for now, sometimes, it's a beginning of a new beautiful chapter of our lives, of Lisa's life. A beautiful company owned & run by Lisa Hjulberg (The Craft's Meow) that I have been once a part of as an Illustrator/Designer is closing its doors. As a farewell, we are having a blog hop and I hope you'll join us!

The Craft's Meow store is officially closing its doors at the end of December. All stamp sets have been marked down by as much as 75%! Stock is limited... once it's gone, it's gone for good, so please shop early for the best selection. All orders of $25 or more will receive a free gift with purchase. Flat rate shipping is $3.00 for all US orders and $12 for all International orders. Please see the store blog for details, or click over to The Craft's Meow store to start shopping!

Where Have I Been?

I'm still here!
There were so many things that happened and everything feels so rushed.
We also moved to a lovely home at the end of April. I'll post some pictures!

I'm still creating though!
I just wish I could create more and more often.
A lot of times, we try to put the kids to bed by 8pm. But most of the time, especially for the little one, bed time doesn't get to be 'til 10 or 11. And by the time they settle down, I feel like I have so little time to do other things or just too exhausted I ended up going to bed too. Anybody else on the same boat?

Did I mention?
I've stayed with the SRM Stickers Design Team until they get the new designers in July?
The application is still going on. I encourage you to apply! Deadline is May 29th, 2013.
Shirley is truly a wonderful and amazing woman to work with - that's just the icing on the cake! The products are very versatile, regardless what kind of style you have. It has been truly and honor to be designing for this company.

So now, because I have been gone for so long, please excuse the project overload, ha! All using SRM Stickers!

Here are a few cards I created.

Last spring, I created this Easter basket for the boys.

Also, around St. Patrick's day, I made a quick project too!

Aside from scrapbooking or making cards, I love to bake too!
So here's what I did using SRM Stickers' newest product line the glassine bag and those label stickers are perfect fit here too!

When I get a chance, I include the recipe with my baked goodies when I give them to friends. I made the recipe small enough to be able to tuck it inside the ribbon at the back of the packaging.

That's it for me!
I still have a lot to unpack.
See you soon and thank you for swinging by today!

Stitched Heart

I'm not much of a layout girl but this one's special to me. I documented these photos of my daughter a month after she had an open heart surgery.

I used SRM Stickers' Sticker Stitches and Labels by the Dozen - Bright Blank for my journal.

Bittersweet!

It's a sad day as my term for SRM Stickers ending today. Not only do I love creating with SRM products, I really loved working with the ladies, especially with Susan (what a truly amazing woman she is).

They have a big announcement tomorrow, so please stay tuned!

I am up at SRM Blog today with the baby set I created for my niece. I used to babysit her when I was in high school until I was in my early 20's. Turns out that she gave birth few months after I gave birth to my little Isabella. Made me feel even older, ack! Hahaha.

I thought I'd stick to purple, kraft & brown color combination for this one. Plus, SRM Stickers goes so well with kraft too! Where do you start first when you scrap, color or stamp/photo?

I used Sticker Sentiments - Baby for this one along with Lovely Labels 18 from the Craft's Meow Stamp. I tied the largest pillow box from SRM with a Satin ribbon from Michaels and Lilac twine from The Twinery.

And the winner is......

Cindy, please e-mail me your full name and mailing address so I can mail you some SRM Stickers goodies!
Here's hoping to a kind weekend!

I Do

Long time no see! LOL. That line sure do is getting old, eh?! Hahaha.

Do you know someone who is going to exchange "I Do's" this year? I may know one close to my heart but not sure the exact date yet!

If you do know someone, I hope I can help you with some ideas. I'm up at SRM blog today featuring these wedding setting & wedding favor. So here's a setting I created. The banner is from MAMBI (banner paper pad). I actually run The Twinery - Flax onto the round holes and stapled them so they don't move around. Don't be intimidated by the setting, it's really easy & quick to make! I probably spent more time setting the table than creating the favors, ha! :)

These place cards or thank you card is sooo easy to make. I used Fancy Sentiments - Thank you for this and adhered it to a kraft cardstock and a black base. I finalized it by tying a twine at the top of the card.

I  couldn't make up my mind if the place card should be in the center or if the candle should be so I took of photo of it too.

Do you know that you can decorate 12 of these votive holder for 1 sheet of SRM's Stickers by the Dozen - Wedding? How easy & affordable that is!

Now this is the box that the votive holder came with. I decided to do some touch ups so I adhered those sentiments (still from the same sticker sheet, Sticker by the Dozen - Wedding) onto the white ribbon. Topped it some Prima flowers.

Together, here is what they look like.

Hope you like this project! Please check back on the first, I created another project using yummy SRM Stickers!

Valentine Party

I hope the holidays have been good to you and wishing this new year will bring you great health, success and love. There are a lot of things I want to work on this year but I don't want to make any commitment I can't keep. Maybe, I'll find a solution on some of the things I need to improve on. So, what's your resolution?

I feel like I have always been away for so long but I am still creating. Proof, I'm up at SRM Stickers' blog today with these new products that's to drool for! Are you ready for some Valentine Party?

Here are some close up: First up is this Be My Valentine card. I used Stickers by the Dozen - Valentine. I love this sticker sheet. You can create so many cards with it. I also used The Twinery Blossom/Pink & White twine. Do you know that you can now buy The Twinery twines from SRM Store Online?

Up next are these treat bags using SRM's newest Glassine Bags. I used left over stickers from my first project and Echo Park paper and We've Got Your Border - Valentine. I finalized it by embellishing it with some yummy The Twinery Blossom/Pink & White twine and Maraschino Red and White.

I got inspired from a project on Pinterest to create this owl from a pillow box. This is not just some ordinary pillow box, they are one of SRM's newest release. Oh, you are going to love this one! They are thick and heavy duty, sure to hold the weight of your goodies.

And lastly for this card, I used The Craft's Meow Thanks Bee to Thee stamp set and  the smallest glassine bag. Using a sponge dauber, I inked it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fired Brick and rubbed it onto the glassine bag with the chicken wire stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. The distress ink were perfect for the glassine bags. They didn't smudge at all. I also used  We've Got Your Border - Valentine  and  Maraschino Red and White twine. To create the "bee" word, I just cut out another e from the same border sticker and added it to the word "be mine".

I hope you like these projects.

I want to share some love - how about an SRM package? Please leave a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner.

Have a great day!

Neglected

I'm bad, so bad.... I've neglected this blog so badly. I have plenty of excuse, ha!  I may have neglected this blog but doesn't mean I'm not creating.

Hello friends! I hope you're still there! :)

I have quite a few projects to share, let me know which one is your favourite!
Let's start with this mini calendar project I created for one of my son's teacher that she can place on her desk. You can give it to a co-worker too. It's super easy to make and I used SRM's 2013 Year of Memories 2013 Mini Calendar Decorative and 2013 Mini Calendar Standard .

I'm back!

Where do I begin?
So many things have happened & it has taken our lives into a whole new level!

I'm happy to announce that I gave birth to this beautiful girl, Isabella on June 8. Unfortunately, she had a lot of medical issues that I needed to prioritize. She was in the hospital for 2 1/2 months and had 3 major surgeries including an open heart surgery.

I'm glad to say that this girl is recovering fast! More news next time, I have started a blog for her called The Ups and Downs of Downs. In the meantime, I just want to share a few projects with you.

I'm so excited because I have so many SRM projects to share! First off, is this set of tags I created using SRM Stickers' newest Labels by the Dozen Christmas.

I also have these layouts. So much to be thankful for!

I punched a lot of these  from Martha Stewart oak leaf punch in different cardstock colors to create that fall color effect.. Noticed to how the SRM Stickers "give thanks" really went well with the clear ticket stub?

If you noticed, I run this in the sewing machine to create a line effect.

That's it for today for me! I have some baking to do..
Thank you for visiting!
